ISHRM nurtured my interest in the Hospitality Industry from all the social activities, programs and events in and outside the school. ISHRM was also a big part of building myself esteem when they sent me to Singapore for my on-the-job training. I had a great experience dealing with different nationalities and cultures that encouraged me to work abroad.

I moved to Canada on March 2011 and started working for one of their famous fast food chains – Subway restaurant, as a sandwich artist. After a year, I got promoted to a shift manager position. I have decided to explore and try a bigger city so I decided to move to Calgary, Alberta in Canada on July 2014. Jobs for us, HRM graduates are everywhere in this city. I was able to get hired in one of their Casinos from which I held a position of Deli Attendant.

Not all Degrees or Diplomas abroad are recognized in Canada, fortunately, my Bachelor’s Degree for Hotel and Restaurant Management from ISHRM was accepted and honoured and I got the position in a Customer Service Company as their Management Trainee on October 2014.

Up till this day, with the help of my education with ISHRM, I am one of the Assistant Managers of the biggest Rental Car Company in North America, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car also known as Enterprise Holdings. I can’t thank the school enough on how they got me to where I am right now. ISHRM played a big role for my well-being and I can say that to every people I talk to from all over the world.

3 months after our Graduation I got my First job as Customer Service in the Philippines (Redbox GreenBelt). After a year, I applied in different agencies and luckly i got the job as waitress in Italian Restaurant (Bahrain).

ISHRM School system boost my self-confidence and perseverance to face the challenges in working abroad which we all know, is not easy. After a few years they saw how i work and got promoted as Captain. I was even featured in one of the famous magazine in Bahrain called PERLE Magazine LAST 2015 for being one of the BEST SERVER. I got promoted as Shift -in -Charge and again got recognized by Bahrain news paper (GULF WEEKLY NEWS) as one of the Best in Customer Service.

Now I’m working as ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER and always thought what one of my professors in ISHRM told me… ALLOW YOUR PASSION TO BECOME YOUR PURPOSE AND IT WILL ONE DAY BECOME YOUR PROFESSION.
